Candidates For the Freshman Class

Freshman admission is open to all high school graduates who have sat for and
passed CCU entrance and placement examinations. Those failing in one subject (Mathematics or English) will be required to take a remedial class during
the regular semester and must successfully pass with a grade of “C” or
above.
If a student fails both Mathematics and English, he/she will not be allowed to
enroll and must retake the examinations in subsequent years.
Candidates who pass the entrance and placement examinations may enter the
semester in which the results are released, or defer to the following
semester. Failure to enter during either semester will require the candidate to
re-sit the examinations. High school graduates who pass Division One of the West African Examination Council (WAEC) are eligible to enroll without sitting for the entrance and placement examinations.
